The ETE is all about YOU, the taiko players in Europe!

We are doing our best to present European taiko from all backgrounds to the entire world through the in-person event and our website (both before and after October). To do this we need YOUR input, so even if you are not in Hamburg in October, if you’d like to be a part of the ETE and have your voice be heard, it’s time to step up!

Calling all taiko groups: Our aim is to build a visual database of European-based taiko groups, with each entry submitted by the group itself. Submissions will be on display in October in the form of posters and videos, as well as on our website. Take some time to reflect on what makes your taiko group unique, and add yourselves to the ETE platform.

!! Change to the DRUM:OUT program !!

After careful consideration, we have decided to re-think the program for the DRUM:Out stage. This year is a different one for many of you in the community, as groups have had time to rebuild, players are able to practice again, and other festivals are planned where we’re able to play all together on stage. Because of this, we want to keep with the times and make sure we’re still offering something unique and beneficial to all of you. So, we’ve decided to take pre-registrations so you can secure your spot and get prepared before October! Let us know what you’d like to play by filling out the form: HERE

! NO NEW WORKSHOP LEADERS OR CONCERT PERFORMERS !

The lineup for the ETE21+1 will not include any new leaders or concert performers. We’re happy and excited to say that almost all of the artists from last year will be able to share a little of themselves with us in October! A confirmed lineup will be released later in the year when we all have a clearer picture of the pandemic situation.

! THERE’S STILL SPACE TO PUT YOUR GROUP ON DISPLAY !

Help us add some colour to the Expo space by putting your group on display! What you put on display is totally up to you – it can include equipment (What type of bachi do you use? What is your performance costume?), educational material about your group and its history, memorabilia from past events, and/or promotional material for upcoming events.

Lastly, we’d like to warmly welcome Romina Taverna to the Core Team for 2022. Founder of Zendaiko and Loco Ladies, she will be relocating to Hamburg this year, so we have snapped her up to help us with organization in the lead up to October. Hooray!

ETE21+1 EINSENDUNGENIHR, die Taiko-Spieler Europas, steht im Zentrum der ETE!

Wir wollen – zusammen mit euch – der gesamten Welt die europäische Taikoszene präsentieren, und zwar mit der Live-Expo vor Ort und digital über die Internetseiten der ETE. Also lasst eure Stimmen hören, selbst wenn ihr zum Event im Oktober nicht vor Ort an der Expo teilnehmen könnt und meldet euch bei uns! Das Konzept der ETE ist auf euren Input angewiesen!

An alle Taikogruppen: Unser Ziel ist es, eine visuelle Datenbank mit so vielen in Europa ansässigen Taiko-Gruppen wie möglich aufzubauen. Hier seid ihr gefragt, eure Gruppe selbst in das System einzutragen, damit ihr entsprechend repräsentiert werden könnt. Die Einreichungen werden im Oktober in Form von Postern und Videos sowie auf unserer Website zu sehen sein. Nehmen euch ruhig etwas Zeit, um darüber nachzudenken, was eure Taiko-Gruppe einzigartig macht und bereichert die ETE-Plattform.

FÜR DIE TEILNEHMER AN DER VERANSTALTUNG IN HAMBURGRKSHOPS UND PERFORMER

!! Neues Konzept für das DRUM:OUT Programm !!

Nach reiflicher Überlegung haben wir uns entschieden, das Programm für die DRUM:Out-Bühne umzugestalten. 2021 ist nicht 2022 und die Situation der Taikocommunity ist eine andere, da viele Gruppen nun die Zeit hatten, sich wieder aufzubauen, gemeinsam üben konnten und vor dem Start der ETE21+1 andere Festivals geplant sind, bei denen wir alle zusammen auf der Bühne spielen können. Aus diesem Grund möchten wir mit der Zeit gehen und sicherstellen, dass wir euch allen weiterhin ein einzigartiges und sinnvolles Erlebnis bieten können. Natürlich werden wir mit euch zusammen auch weiterhin die beliebtesten Stücke aus dem ETE-Community-Song-Poll auf der ETE spielen, jedoch auch das bisherige Konzept erweitern. Alle Infos dazu findet ihr in den nächsten Wochen.

! KEINE NEUEN WORKSHOPLEITER ODER KONZERTPERFORMER !

Das Lineup für das ETE21+1 wird keine neuen Workshopleiter oder Performer enthalten und wir freuen uns bekanntgeben zu können, dass die allermeisten Leiter und Performer auch dieses Jahr ihr Wissen auf der Expo mit uns teilen können, wollen und werden. Nur sehr wenige Gruppen/Personen mussten leider aufgrund anderer Verpflichtungen oder terminlichen Überschneidungen absagen. Eine bestätigte Aufstellung wird später im Jahr veröffentlicht, wenn wir alle ein klareres Bild von der Pandemiesituation haben.

! WIR HABEN NOCH PLATZ FÜR EURE GRUPPEN!

Helft uns, etwas Farbe in den Ausstellungsbereich zu bringen, indem ihr eure Taikogruppen ausstellt! Wie und was ihr von euch präsentieren wollt, liegt ganz bei euch – es kann euer Equipment (welche Art von Bachi verwenden ihr? Zeigt uns eure Auftrittskleidung!), Infomationen über eure Gruppe und ihre Geschichte, Erinnerungsstücke von vergangenen Veranstaltungen und/oder Werbematerial für kommende Veranstaltungen oder Workshops umfassen.

Zu guter Letzt möchten wir Romina Taverna herzlich im Coreteam für die ETE21+1 willkommen heißen. Romina ist die Gründerin von Zendaiko und Gründungsmitglied der Loco Ladies. Dieses Jahr zieht sie nach Hamburg, also haben wir sie uns geschnappt, um uns bei der Organisation im Vorfeld zu helfen. Yeah!
